Merry Christmas and a Happy Yuletide and prosperous NEW YEAR

Odawara Castle is a castle castle located in Odawara City, Kanagawa Prefecture (Odawara, Ogaki-gun, Ogaki-gun). It is one of the designated monuments of Japan. Now this Tianshou Pavilion was rebuilt in 1960, and it can basically be regarded as a museum of Beijo.
The first floor of Odawara Castle Castle Tower, there is a ranking of the top 10 castles in Japan, and Odawara Castle is ranked sixth. So in history, it used to be a city that was difficult to attack in the Kanto area.
Slowly climb the top floor of the castle tower, there are many ancient artifacts and historical materials on the way to visit. The top floor is a 360-degree viewing platform. In recent days, the weather in East Japan is sunny and the wind is big. On the edge of the narrow platform, take a slow walk and you can see the beautiful scenery of Sagami Bay and the distant islands. Odawara Castle is actually very interesting inside. The combination of water and city is a contrast that I really like. The weather could not be better that day, and the reflection of the blue sky was strong and bright in the water and the Zhuqiao on the water surface. Small bridges and water surfaces can be seen everywhere in the courtyard, which is perfect for a sunny walk.

#voyagevibes
The castle is designated as a national historic site (August 1938), and the castle tower was restored in 1960 (Showa 35). I think I visited it after the major renovations of the Heisei era were completed. And it seems like in March, plum blossoms and fragrances, and in April, about 180 cherry blossoms can be enjoyed, and the cherry blossom festival will be held.
Access - About a 5-minute walk from Shirakawa Station on the JR Tohoku Main Line
Stop 15: Odawara.
1. I have been to Kamakura several times. It is not a place for youthful memories. There are Chinese tourists everywhere, and they are very annoying. They don't queue and they talk loudly.
2. Odawara is very close to Kamakura, but the water is very clean. Maybe it's because there are stones instead of sand here, and there are no branches brought by the sea.
3. After exiting the station, turn right and walk a little bit, and you will see the foot bath on the 14th floor. You can enjoy the sea view while soaking your feet. It is very comfortable. But it was not very hot on the day I went there. I prefer it to be hotter. After the foot bath, I had fried pork cutlet and fried oyster set meal downstairs. It was very delicious.
4. The scenery is better if you enter Odawara Castle from the south gate. You need a ticket to go up to the main tower, but the lower floors are free. I didn't go up because my feet hurt. I always think there is nothing to see in the main tower, but this one has a viewing platform outside, facing the sea.
5. There is more than one "door to the sea." It is mainly a passage that can be closed to prevent tsunamis. When you walk out of it, you will suddenly see the sea. The sea here is bluer than Kamakura or Atami. It is great to buy some food and drinks and watch the sea here. But there is a residential area nearby, and there is no restroom (at least I didn't find one).
6. The area is not big. Half a day is enough. You can go to Atami or Hakone in the afternoon. As for transportation
Its seems i am in the year of 1890😬😬😬

Day trip to odawara castle from tokyo!
Odawara Castle is a must-visit for its rich historical significance, stunning architecture, and beautiful surroundings. As a reconstructed feudal castle, it offers insight into Japan's samurai era with well-preserved artifacts and exhibits. The castle's impressive donjon, surrounded by cherry blossoms in spring and vibrant foliage in autumn, provides breathtaking views. Visitors can also enjoy traditional cultural experiences such as samurai and ninja exhibits, tea ceremonies, and seasonal festivals. Its proximity to Tokyo makes it an accessible and enriching day trip, blending history, culture, and natural beauty in one remarkable location. This is the fourth castle I have visited.
In Odawara, I got the key to the gate of another world
A lesser-known spot in Japan, those who like quiet places with fewer people must not miss this place!
I originally planned to go to Hakone for a hot spring bath, but later decided to stay in Odawara instead. I feel that Odawara is a hidden gem, and it's not far from Hakone.
Those who like quietness and fewer people should really go.
Being alone and watching the sea is so great!

When we went there, there was nobody at all, you can take photos however you want.

Odawara Castle
#thingstodo This is a beautiful little castle that is the closest castle keep to Tokyo. While it’s small it is worth a visit! It is not of original style construction and has been rebuilt multiple times. The inside has a great deal of history however, most of it is in Japanese. The top floor allows you to an open air walk around the top of the castle with amazing views of the surrounding area. On the Castle grounds there is a Ninja Museum (I did not go this visit) that looks great for kids. There is also a Samurai Museum that is an additional 100yen to the regular ticket to see the armor and weapons displays. Overall highly recommend a visit to this castle, total time spent only about 2 hours!
Odawara | Suburban Tokyo Hot Spring Resort Hotel
| Suburban Tokyo Hot Spring Resort Hotel.🙋Hotel Guide:
🍃🏞️Located in the quiet mountains🏞️, facing the blue sea🌊, this hotel🏨 seems to be a paradise🌺 in the busy city. From the nearest station🚉, the blue ocean🌊 comes into view, even guests🚶 who are easily lost🗺️ on the road can easily find the hotel's welcome car🚖.
🍃🛋️The "オーシャンラウンジ"🍸 here is a perfect place to rest💆, guests can relax comfortably here all day☕📖. The hotel's spa🧖♀️ opens the door🚪 to relaxation for every guest, allowing people to eliminate daily fatigue💤 and sleep more sweetly🛌🌙.
🍃🍽️Not only that, the hotel also offers a variety of dining options🍱. Whether it's to satisfy families with large appetites👨👩👧👦 or foodies in pursuit of delicious food🍜, everyone can find satisfaction here😋. Particularly worth mentioning is the buffet dinner🍛, from fresh Ross beef🥩 to delicious tuna🐟, all show the hotel's high standards🍴 and sincerity❤️ for cuisine. As for breakfast🍳, guests are attracted by the rich and delicious Japanese and Western food🍱, especially the crispy croissants🥐.
🍃🛏️For families👨👩👧 staying for the first time, the Japanese-style rooms🏯 provided by the hotel are a safe and comfortable choice✨. Spacious Japanese futons🛌, and thoughtful bed rails🛏️, provide a restful environment🌙 for both babies👶 and older children🧒. The enthusiastic service💁♂️ and professional attitude👩💼 of the hotel staff make every guest feel at home🏡.
🍃🔍However, even such a nearly perfect hotel🏨 has room for improvement🛠️. For example, some seats🪑 in the buffet restaurant seem too ordinary🍽️, slightly inconsistent with the hotel's high-end feel🌟. For guests👔 seeking perfection, if they can do better in this regard✨, it will make this hotel even more outstanding🌹.
🍃🌼In summary, for those seeking a high-quality accommodation experience🛏️, and also wanting their children to enjoy🎈, this hotel is undoubtedly an ideal choice🌟 for families👨👩👧👦.

Odawara Castle, located in the city of Odawara in Japan, is a famous historical landmark that offers visitors a glimpse into the country's feudal past. With its impressive architecture, rich history, and picturesque surroundings, this castle is a must-visit destination for history enthusiasts and culture lovers alike.
Originally built in the 15th century, Odawara Castle played a significant role during the Sengoku period, a time of intense warfare in Japan. It served as a stronghold for the powerful Hojo clan, who ruled over the region for several generations. The castle was later destroyed during the Edo period but was meticulously reconstructed in the 1960s to its former glory, using traditional construction techniques and materials.
One of the main reasons why Odawara Castle is famous is its stunning architecture. The castle's main keep, with its imposing black exterior and elegant design, stands as a symbol of power and resilience. Inside, visitors can explore various exhibits that showcase the castle's history, including samurai armor, weapons, and artifacts from the feudal era.
Aside from the castle itself, the surrounding grounds offer a serene and picturesque setting. The castle is situated on a hill, providing panoramic views of the city and the nearby Sagami Bay. During the cherry blossom season in spring, the castle grounds come alive with vibrant pink blooms, creating a truly enchanting atmosphere.
When visiting Odawara Castle, expect to immerse yourself in history and culture. Take your time exploring the castle's interior, climb to the top of the main keep for breathtaking views, and stroll through the beautiful gardens that surround the castle. Don't forget to visit the nearby Odawara Castle Park, which offers additional attractions such as a traditional tea house and a museum dedicated to the history of the castle.

Learn more about Japanese fish cake making at Suzuhiro Kamaboko museum. It is a fun and interactive museum where kids can learn about the different techniques used to make a good fishcake and what are the different types of fish used as the ingredients.
There are games and demonstrations by museum staff, which makes the museum programs more interesting. Best part is that it's free to visit this museum. There's 3 levels altogether and you and your kids can slowly explore here.
Hakone on fire 🌋
An amazing experience to Visit My Fuji and Hakone live volcano. My first experience seeing a live volcano. The gas still guzzules out mostly sulphur but it's a beautiful view surrounding the green lush mountains.
