Travel south to the sea at Koh Phithak, Lang Suan, Chumphon.
🌴 Koh Phithak is located in Village No. 14, Bang Nam Chuet Subdistrict. It is a small island, approximately 25 kilometers from the Lang Suan District Office. There are long-tail boats from the villagers that provide services from Ao Krok Pier to Koh Phithak. In the past, the villagers called it "Koh Phi Tak". There is a story that fishing boats floated to Koh Phithak and saw villagers on the island waving their hands. Sometimes they heard them calling them to come up to the island. But when they got to the island, there was not a single villager living on the island.
There is a record of history about Koh Phithak when King Rama V traveled by boat. One of the records says, "...stopped in front of Koh Phithak. When the sun rose, he arrived at Pak Nam Lang Suan Subdistrict..." Therefore, visiting Koh Phithak is like following in the footsteps of the royal visit.
The government announced Koh Phithak as a village in Bang Nam Chuet Subdistrict in 1921. The official name is Koh Phithak for good luck.
Currently, the island has beautiful rocks, clear water, suitable for swimming, and fishing villages scattered around the island. To the east, there is a small sandy beach. Behind the island, there is a viewpoint about 200 meters high. If the sea level is low, you can walk from Ao Krok Pier to the island. The villagers on the island have organized a homestay tourism activity, which is an ecotourism. There are 20 homestays that can accommodate a large number of tourists. There are many activities for guests on this island, including snorkeling to see the beautiful and pristine coral around the island.
🌴 There is a path to walk up to see the view. Along the way, you will see the sea, clear water, cool breeze. There are convenience stores, souvenir shops, and chic coffee shops on the island as well. 😁
🌴 In the morning, walk and see the view on the island. I recommend going around 7 am. This is the best. The weather is cool and comfortable, no sun, walk and enjoy the sea view, and the cool breeze is the best. 🥰
🌴 In the evening, around 5:30 pm, you can walk around the beach. There is a sandbar where you can walk and take beautiful pictures. (I recommend coming in June.) The sandbar is a parted sea. You can walk across to the other side. 🌊
🛶 There is also a kayak rental service.
Note: The price of the accommodation may depend on the number of people staying per trip.
