The trail starts just outside the city (better take bus to the trail head) and the trail takes you through BEAUTIFUL hills in the city. It’s a little steep, but the path is popular and short, so it's easy to follow. It took me about 60 mins to get to the top!) As you hike, you’ll see amazing views of Sarajevo and the surrounding mountains. Once you reach the viewpoint, I am sure that you’ll be blown away by the stunning panorama of the city below! It’s a perfect spot to take photos and enjoy a snack. The fresh air and nature… This is just a fun escape from the city hustle. If you climb up the Yellow Fortress, also known as the Sarajevo Viewpoint, you can enjoy a beautiful sunset along with the view of Sarajevo City. Even though it was midsummer in late August, the weather was chilly in the evening and the sun set around 7:30!! As the sun set, the entire sky turned orange, which was a spectacular sight. If you're traveling to Sarajevo, be sure to enjoy the sunset at the Yellow Fortress ❤️
