All Moments About Jiufen
Be sure to buy some souvenirs from Jiufen‼️
Gabin Mingga is a must-have in Jiufen.
Coffee Nougat Crackers are Taiwan's representative snacks. Among the many types of crackers, it is famous for its coffee nougat crackers.
There are various flavors in addition to coffee flavors, so it's fun to choose.
If you buy 3 boxes of 20 nougat crackers, it costs NT$500, if you buy 6, it costs NT$920, and if you buy 9, it costs NT$1260.
In addition to the basic matcha, black tea, and coffee flavors, there are also original nougat crackers and cranberry nougat crackers.
They also sell Feng Li Su.
I personally think it tastes much better than the famous St. Peter coffee crackers, and the crackers are softer, so they are more delicious.
Gabin Mingga is also located in Yongkang Street, Taipei, in addition to the Jiufen branch. I recommend that you visit the convenient location to purchase.

A famous teahouse in #Jiufen 🍵✨ The atmosphere is very nice ❤️
#Jiufen #Jiufen is a must-visit place when visiting #Taiwan. Here you can find delicious food and desserts such as egg tarts and pistachios.
Another highlight of Jiufen is #AMeiTeaHouse, a famous teahouse that is very popular because of the scene in the anime #SpiritedAway.
We recommend going to the shop across the street, ordering tea, and sitting back and relaxing, enjoying the view of the teahouse and the charming old atmosphere. This place is perfect for relaxing and taking photos. 🍵😊

Jiufen: Tea, pottery and hidden gems
Only when I grew up did I truly discover that Jiufen is such a beautiful place.
When I visited Jiufen again this time, I was surprised to find that there are many amazing little shops hidden here, just like the one I’m going to introduce today - #九份茶坊 . This teahouse is built with warm wood and retro red bricks, and its appearance is low-key and simple. After entering the room, what comes into view is a completely different world! As soon as I stepped into the store, I saw the shop assistant concentrating on making tea. The scene was as beautiful as a painting.
The space on the first floor is mainly a tea tasting area, where travelers and tourists can take a break, and a variety of teas are also sold. If you don’t want to drink tea, you can also go directly down to the basement to visit, where various exquisite pottery and tea sets are displayed. Each piece contains a unique style and craftsmanship, which makes people can’t help but appreciate it carefully.
I believe that anyone who comes here will fall in love with Taiwan's tea culture because of this store!!!

Strolling through Jiufen: A charming old grocery store hidden in the mountain town
This kind of unexpected discovery is really the most surprising! I came to Jiufen specifically for filming work that day. While strolling casually in the mountain alleys that are not in the tourist area, I accidentally came across an old grocery store full of a sense of time - "Lao Heshang Commercial Company".
The first thing that caught my eye was the handmade tags and wind chimes at the door made from various beverage cans. When I got closer, I realized that this was actually a very old groceries shop! It is said that this is the only traditional grocery store left in Jiufen. The store still sells all kinds of retro snacks and daily necessities~ It's really super retro!! I love it!!!
The beauty of Taiwan lies not only in its magnificent natural scenery, but also in its remaining “human touch” and “sense of time”. Those ancient streets, mottled walls, yellowed old signs, and even the faint nostalgic smell in the air, that is the most charming charm of Taiwan 💛

Taipei Travel: Jiufen is as charming as I remember.
It's been over twenty years since I last visited Jiufen. I was surprised to find that this mountain town is still bustling and the shops are as familiar as ever! How can you miss the joy of wandering through the alleys in this charming mountain town of Taipei?
The narrow streets of the old town are filled with a variety of snack shops and craft stores. Walking along the street, you must try the handmade taro balls and buy the famous Alan's grass cakes... these are all childhood memories! Continuing forward, you will reach Jiufen's most iconic landmark - Amei Teahouse. This is probably one of the most representative landmarks of Jiufen. The red lanterns hanging on the wooden buildings make you feel like you've stepped into a scene from Hayao Miyazaki's 'Spirited Away'. As the lanterns on the street light up one by one, the entire mountain town takes on a more mysterious feel.
Whether it's the taste of memories or the beautiful scenery in front of you, Jiufen is still charming and still makes you nostalgic!

Spirited Away, complete conquest of Jiufen🏮
#JanuaryTravelSupportEvent #TaiwanTravel #JiufenTravel #SpiritedAway
Did you know that there is a town in Taiwan that was the inspiration for Sen and Chihiro? Jiufen, where the atmosphere during the day and night is amazingly different!
The sunset over the horizon with the ocean in Jiufen is truly spectacular! I think it is a must-visit destination if you travel to Taiwan☺️
🚐 Two ways to get there by bus:
1. Take bus 1062 from Taiwan MRT Songshan Station & Zhongshao Fuxing Station (highly recommended! Buses depart every 15 minutes)
2. Take bus 965 from Beimen Ximen Banqiao
🍯 Tip:
If you are looking for a night view, plan to arrive around 3pm!
If you are not looking for a night view, I recommend going in the morning and going to your accommodation early before the sun sets!
From the time the sun starts to set, Jiufen is packed with tourists, making it very difficult to move around.
However! Even after the sun sets, the streets other than Laojie, the main street, are relatively quiet, so it would be a good trip to enjoy a nice pub or tea house nearby🥳
There are many souvenir shops in Jiufen, and each shop has a different atmosphere, so it's fun to look around, but the prices for similar products are similar, so if there's something you like, I recommend buying it on the spot!

Jiufen is a popular tourist destination that attracts visitors from all over the world. It is a very cool and huge area with many small stores and restaurants.
At night it looks even nicer with lanterns and lights.✨✨
The crowds are huge at night, so it is recommended to go into one of the cafes or restaurants and enjoy the night view.
You can also get a good view of the coast from some places. It is a really nice place to feel the breeze🌊

Taiwan [Jiufen] It's like a movie world
In Jiufen, a town with a nostalgic atmosphere, there are teahouses with a retro atmosphere, such as Amei Tea House, which was the model for the popular movie, and Jiufen Tea House!
It is also the setting for Spirited Away.
I recommend going in the evening or at night ☺︎
There were a lot of tourists and it was hard to walk, but it was definitely worth it!
I recommend taking a direct bus to Jiufen!
The biggest advantage is that you can get there without having to transfer and without getting lost.
There are two types of direct buses.
You can use them depending on the area you are staying in.
It gets crowded on weekends, so it is recommended to go to the bus stop with plenty of time.

⛰️🍃Visit Jiufen City, Taiwan
#Flying with trip Jiufen City, Taiwan
It takes about an hour and a half from Taipei Main. It is a city on the mountain. It is beautifully decorated with red lanterns. Many people often call it the Spirited Away Village. 🏮🏮
🚃🚎 Traveling from Taipei Main, start by taking the Local Train to Ruifang Station (There are many types of local trains. I recommend that you check the schedule in advance. When we arrive at the station, take that line.) When you arrive at Ruifang, I must say that there are a lot of people. Walk out of the station, walk to the left side of the road, walk along the sidewalk for about 2 minutes, you will see a bus stop on the opposite side (that is the library and next to the fire station). Go and stand in line. Most people take the bus to Jiufen. As far as I know, there are lines 965, 788, 1062. It looks like a tour bus in our country.
Along the way, it is an uphill road with 2 lanes going in opposite directions. I was a bit scared and thought to myself that the bus drivers here are really great. When I arrived, the weather was great. The bus will stop outside on the side of the road. The road there is a bit narrow. It has a winding mountain feel. There are alleys for us to walk to the inside. In each alley, there are many tea shops and souvenir shops. Walking along, we will see red lanterns. Entering Old Street, full of many foods🤩

Cherishing Jiufen's Past and Present
Rushing to arrive in Jiufen at dusk to witness the dazzling lights of the mountain town. However, upon arrival, you find Jiufen nowhere to be seen, as the usual crowds are absent, shops have long closed, and the lights are out. You lose your reference points and fumble in the dark for direction.
Jiufen is no longer the scene you once loved. Over-commercialization has turned it into a gaudy spectacle, like a simple village girl dressed up flamboyantly.
You chose to visit during the northeast monsoon because you knew from long ago that the rain could wash away its gaudy facade, revealing its weathered yet captivating essence.
Gold gives birth to water; if rain is Jiufen's soul, it also reflects your wandering and unrestrained spirit.
Quietly listening to the sound of wind and rain, watching Jiufen shrouded in mist, you think of Zheng Chouyu's poem: 'I am merely a passerby, not a returning person!'

Attractions-Jiufen One-day Tour Recommendations
If you want to arrange a day trip and don't want to drive, you can also arrange a comfortable car trip. However, it will take longer. Now it is very convenient to take bus 965 from Ximen/Banqiao to Jiufen. After getting off at Ruifang Station, you can plan to go to Jiufen Old Street or Golden Waterfall. The first stop is Golden Waterfall, next to which is the Thirteen-Layer Ruins (Taijin Old Mine). Return to Jiufen Old Street and wait until night to take pictures of A-Mei Tea House at night. In the meantime, you can explore the alleys in the old street and eat Grandma's Taro Ball Ice Cream. The view outside the window of Grandma's Taro Ball Ice Cream is very beautiful. You can enjoy the beautiful scenery while eating Taro Ball Ice Cream. If you haven't been to Jiufen at night, you must definitely go there once. However, there are still a lot of people at night recently. Because everyone wants to take pictures of the night view of the teahouse, be careful of the push of pedestrians on the road. 🚩Golden Waterfall

Jiufen: Taiwan's Historic Gem
#winhkflight
I had the pleasure of visiting Jiufen, and I can say with certainty that it is more than just a town; it is an enthralling trip through history and customs. Its winding alleyways gave me the impression that I had travelled back in time, with reminders of its history as a gold mining town left all over the place. The experience was made even more magical by the vivid colours, the smell of freshly made street food, and the lively, buzzing energy of the markets.
Every moment in Jiufen felt like a gem waiting to be found, whether it was enjoying tea in a traditional teahouse or taking in the expansive vistas of the coast. For those fortunate enough to attend, it is a location where history comes to life, leaving an enduring impression.

【Jiufen】Shuku Qimulou (Tea House)
Address: No. 38, Feitang Lane, Jiufen
Average price: NT$700-1200
I was planning to go to "Jiufen Old Street" by bus as instructed in the tourist guide, but I somehow got off at a bus stop or two before and climbed up, and suddenly a suspicious building appeared.
There was no one there and I couldn't speak Chinese properly, so I was worried, but I had an incredibly miraculous encounter.
The shops and encounters I found by chance, not in a guidebook, became my best travel memories.

Cheap and delicious handmade fish balls 🍡|Fish Balls Bozai
Not long after you walk into Jiufen Old Street, you will see Fish Ball Bo Zai, a small shop that sells very delicious Shou Wang Fish Balls. In addition to fish ball soup, their tofu buns are also highly recommended. They are made of tofu skin with braised pork wrapped inside, then filled with fish paste and topped with a special sweet and spicy sauce. It is a very unique snack.
The fish ball soup has 7 plump and chewy freshly made fish balls, which taste like fresh fish paste, and is served with a bowl of dry vermicelli. A set meal is only $90, which is really good value for money!

Direct bus to Jiufen from XMD
From Ximending, you can board bus 965 which gets you all the way to Jiu Fen in comfort! My
ride took about 40 minutes, very convenient and I get to enjoy the scenery along the way.
It was sad to see that many stores at Jiu Fen were closed during my visit to Jiu Fen in early Dec 2022. They were not spared from the pandemic as well.
Do check the weather forecast before setting off to Jiu Fen. As it’s not a fully sheltered place, it’s really inconvenient when it’s rains and freezing cold to be there.

Small Stone Pot - unique barbecue and affordable hot pot recommendation
#hotpotrecommendation
The small stone pot is mainly made of stir-fried meat slices. Through the stir-frying process, the guests can drink the soup base without being muddied by the meat. They can directly taste the thick and multi-layered soup base. The amount of meat and vegetables is also very sufficient. There is also an unlimited supply of drinks, rice, and ice cream. As long as you can eat, you can keep refilling. Just don't waste food by not finishing it.
Milky Pumpkin Pot (Beef) NT.180
The rich pumpkin aroma is further enhanced by the sweetness of the milk aroma. The soup base has a light and sweet taste, and is topped with a lot of vegetables and barbecued beef belly. The beef has a burnt aroma because it was pre-fried on the iron plate, and the barbecue sauce has a salty and sweet taste. Every bite feels like eating Japanese barbecue, and at the end you can still find the pumpkin that has not melted yet.
Coconut Laksa Pot (Pork) NT.180
The shrimp paste in the soup base is very rich in flavor and only slightly spicy. Those who like spicy food can add extra chili. The pork slices are lean, without too much fat, and are very tender, but compared to beef, they don’t have the flavor of roasted meat.
