Staying in an Elegant Home in Zurich

During my trip to Zurich, I chose to stay at the Granichhof Hotel, located at Claridenstrasse 30. Just a two-minute walk from the tram stop, it offers easy access to Zurich's main train station with a ride of about seven minutes. 🏙️ The location was perfect for us, with the Old Town also within a comfortable 10+ minute walking distance—super convenient! The hotel's decor has a somewhat retro vibe, feeling slightly dated with "well-loved" touches like the bathroom faucets and room carpets, but this didn’t detract from the overall experience at all. During check-in, the staff were incredibly warm and professional—service was impeccable. Housekeeping was flawless, and the hotel even features a gym and massage room, making the stay truly exceptional! ✨ We booked a family suite, which was spacious with plush, comfortable beds. The daily chocolate deliveries to our room delighted the kids endlessly. The in-room complimentary minibar was a highlight for me, stocked with sparkling water, mineral water, and assorted beverages. 🌟 Over several nights, I enjoyed the hotel’s breakfast each morning—while the buffet selection was modest, every item was refined, especially the cold dishes and fresh fruits, which felt like a little daily luxury. If you’re planning to stay here, take time to explore nearby. 😄 The area offers fun activities like Dragon View Tandem Paragliding Zurich for a thrilling aerial adventure or Turicum Gin Lab for hands-on craft gin experiences. For foodies, Elmira Fine Dining and Restaurant Krone Altstetten are excellent dining options not to be missed! I’d definitely choose Granichhof Hotel again on my next visit to Zurich—it’s a genuinely delightful and comforting choice! 💖
