|History lovers, come here! ❤️Mencius Temple and Mansion are located in Zoucheng City, Jining City, Shandong Province. Mencius Temple is a place for worshiping Mencius, a Warring States thinker, and Mencius Mansion is located on the west side of Mencius Temple, separated by a street. In the second year of Zhishun (1331) of Emperor Wenzong of Yuan, Mencius was conferred the title of "Duke of Zou State and Second Sage", and Mencius Mansion was called the Second Sage Mansion. ❤️Mencius Temple is rectangular, with five courtyards, 458.5 meters long from north to south, 95 meters wide from east to west, covering an area of 43,600 square meters, or 66 mu. The building complex is divided into east, middle, and west routes. It was small when it was first built, and after several renovations and expansions, it had formed seven courtyards in the early Qing Dynasty. It has a total of 148 buildings, halls, pavilions, and rooms. It is 226 meters long from north to south, 99 meters wide from east to west, covering an area of about 65.3 mu, with a total area of about 22,400 square meters. Mencius Temple was rebuilt after the earthquake in the Kangxi period of the Qing Dynasty. The exact date of the construction of Mencius Mansion is unknown.
