Our journey to the Tengger Desert was nothing short of magical. Nestled in the vastness of northwestern China, this desert offered a peaceful retreat from the bustle of daily life. The weather was surprisingly comfortable—warm but not scorching during the day, and refreshingly cool at night, perfect for stargazing under a sky untouched by city lights. One of the highlights was the camel ride across the golden dunes. These gentle creatures, with their curious eyes and slow, rhythmic gait, made the experience both fun and endearing. The scenery was breathtaking—rolling sand hills stretching endlessly, painted in hues of gold and amber by the sun. Our accommodation in portable desert cabins was a pleasant surprise. Equipped with air conditioning, heating, and even hot baths, it felt like a cozy oasis in the middle of the sands.
