So beautiful, Gansu, here I come

I once thought America was beautiful enough, but when I stepped into Gansu, all my perceptions were overturned. Staying in Zhangye for a week felt like being in another world. Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, fully experiencing the majestic power of nature. Appreciating the vastness of the Northwest, the beauty is breathtaking (though somewhat physically demanding). 🚄 High-speed train: Zhangye West Station 🚌 Bus: From Zhangye West Bus Station to Pingshan Lake Grand Canyon 🚗 Self-drive: About 50 kilometers from the city center, approximately a 50-minute drive. Self-driving is more recommended for convenience and comfort. Before departure, be sure to do your research! Book tickets! Check the weather forecast! Wear comfortable clothes and shoes, and take sun protection measures! The UV rays here are strong, with plenty of sunshine, and there is almost no shade in the canyon. If you like hiking to experience nature firsthand, you can choose a regular ticket. But if you are not physically fit, it is recommended to choose a deep tour. Because the regular tour requires you to go down to the bottom of the valley and then climb up, which is relatively demanding on physical strength. The difference with the deep tour is that there are three ways to reach the bottom of the valley: off-road vehicle 🚙, camel 🐫, and camel cart 🐪. Carry some water and Huoxiang Zhengqi water for emergencies, and bring some snacks to replenish energy. Regular ticket: After ticket inspection, take the sightseeing bus to the No. 1 viewing platform (Nine Dragons Converge, General Stone) Then to the No. 2 viewing platform (Lovers' Peak) Next is the No. 3 viewing platform (Turtle Asking Beast) Note that these three viewing platforms are in one place, not far apart, but still require about 20 minutes of walking.
