Zhangjiajie National Forest is a must see

This is a bucket list item for anyone visiting China. It might be a bit off the beaten track in terms of connections, but boy is it impressive! The area is vast though, so take more than one day if you are able to. You can tour it in a day, but you will miss out on some spectacular sights inside the park. The East or the Middle gates are probbably the best to use to enter the park and taking the Bailong elevator up would be recommended for the best experience. It is breathtaking!
