Beishi Weng Sanjiao Temple

Beishi Weng Sanjiao Temple is located in Beishi Weng Village, Liushukou Town, Zezhou County, Jincheng City, Shanxi Province. The temple faces south and is situated at the peak of Wanshou Mountain, with Phoenix Chaoyang to the east and Tianmen to the west. The Indra Tower stands tall to the south, welcoming a thousand Buddhas, while the Qifu Zen Temple to the north relies on Wanshou Mountain and Ting Mountain. The Dan River flows around the back of the temple, creating a picturesque environment, truly a celestial dwelling place. The Buddha Hall was built in the second year of the Chongzhen period of the Ming Dynasty, and the worship courtyard in front of the hall was built in the eighteenth year of the Shunzhi period of the Qing Dynasty. Due to erosion by wind and rain, war, and human disasters, it fell into disrepair over the years, with severe damage. The worship courtyard collapsed, and there were no statues left in the hall. The walls were tilted, the roof leaked, and vegetation grew wildly. Under the initiative of philanthropist Wu Dingkun and devotee Zhao Rongxiang, and with the support of the village's benevolent men and women, restoration work began on April 15, 2003, and was completed in one year. Beishi Weng Sanjiao Temple is a county-level cultural relic protection unit in Zezhou County.
