An Islamic palace in the center of Zaragoza

Spanish Pyrenees Hike ~ Zaragoza (Region) It was built as a recreational place. It can also be used as a defensive structure. This is an 11th century Islamic castle/palace. The remains of its defensive walls are still well preserved. It is a palace with a quadrilateral layout and circular defensive towers, but one of the towers, the Torreón del Trovador, is rectangular. The rooms are arranged around a courtyard that opens up to the sky. Its roof, coffered ceilings and stucco decorations are its most charming features.
