You can only see the frozen lake for a limited time before the ice melts! There are also alpine plants around Zao no Okama! You can easily enjoy the scenery that you can only see by climbing the mountain! Also, if you climb a few stairs, you can see a torii gate ⛩️ I went during Golden Week, and I was able to see a wall of snow! This will last until around mid-May!
