Sanqing Mountain Winter Golden Route Guide

Although the Jinsha Cableway at Sanqing Mountain is undergoing its annual maintenance from December 5 to 13, 2025, the winter scenery is at its best—it's the perfect off-peak time to enjoy the views! During maintenance, the original Jinsha area shuttle schedule is adjusted. A dedicated shuttle line operates between Gangshou and Waishuangxi in both directions. The Jinsha boarding and alighting area is moved to the traffic light intersection, and the Waishuangxi boarding and alighting area is located in the underground parking lot. The first departure is at 7:30 AM, running back and forth, departing when full. It is recommended to arrive 15 minutes early. Original shuttle services are suspended. Here are three classic routes for you to choose from. Route One is suitable for families and seniors, taking the Gangshou Cableway up and down, with about 3 to 4 hours of hiking. Along the way, you can enjoy the core scenic spots of Sanqing Palace Scenic Area. The entire route has no steps, allowing for a leisurely tour and photo stops. Route Two is the top choice for photography enthusiasts: take the Gangshou Cableway up in the morning, walk along Sunshine Coast and West Coast plankwalks, and descend in the afternoon via the Waishuangxi Cableway, capturing the beautiful scenes of "morning mist - midday light and shadow - sunset" in three time periods. Route Three is designed for hiking enthusiasts, using the Waishuangxi Cableway up and down, with about 6 to 8 hours of hiking. It offers a challenging route with energy supply stations along the way.
