Hidden at the foot of Sanqing Mountain, this new Chinese-style mountain and water wellness resort hotel is a must-stay of the year!

On this trip to Sanqing Mountain, I chose to go up and down via the Waishuangxi Cableway. I stayed at the newly opened Sanqing Mountain Cuiwei Hotel, a super delightful new Chinese-style resort hotel. The hotel is secluded at the foot of Sanqing Mountain, with four elegant Chinese-style buildings staggered along the mountain, perfectly blending Taoist charm with modern resort aesthetics. 1. The hotel is about a 1-hour drive from Shangrao High-Speed Rail Station. For public transportation, you can take a direct tourist bus from the high-speed rail station. If you book the Shangqingjing·Guanshiju room type or above, the hotel offers shuttle service to and from the airport. For self-driving guests, it’s even more convenient, allowing flexible travel and departure at any time. The hotel is about a 5-minute drive from the Waishuangxi Cableway, and if you choose to hike, the hotel provides free shuttle service to the cableway station, so you don’t have to worry about transportation. 2. Cuiwei is built along the mountain and beside the water, with only 84 rooms across four buildings, mostly large suites. The basic suite starts at 88 square meters, with many double beds (1.5-meter wide), and king beds are 2 meters wide, making it very suitable for couples and families. There are also a few secret premium deluxe rooms available for pre-sale, offering great value. Different room types have different courtyards or private balconies, all equipped with private hot spring soaking pools. Each room features panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows, allowing you to enjoy the misty mountains in the morning and the starry sky at night. When the curtains gently sway in the breeze, the mountain’s negative oxygen ions quietly enter the room. The room facilities are excellent, including smart toilets and a full set of Bvlgari bath amenities. 3. Although the hotel is not large, it is well-equipped. In terms of dining, the all-day dining restaurant serves breakfast, and lunch and dinner can be ordered à la carte, with surprisingly good dishes. The chef team selects fresh local seasonal ingredients to create a culinary experience that is both creative and authentic. 4. The menu updates with the seasons to ensure each dish perfectly showcases the seasonal flavors of the ingredients. At the restaurant this time, I experienced both creative dishes and authentic local Jiangxi cuisine. Truly, even staying in the mountains, you can enjoy excellent food. In addition, the hotel has a café & bar offering various coffees, teas, specialty hand-brewed coffee, and a variety of alcoholic beverages. 5. For leisure facilities, there is a small gym and an outdoor forest-style swimming pool, open in summer. The hotel has also carefully created eight outdoor hot spring pools with different styles (opening in autumn and winter). These pools are scattered throughout the hotel, surrounded by lush greenery and elegant stone landscapes, creating a tranquil vacation atmosphere. Each pool uses natural spring water rich in minerals, which effectively relieves fatigue and promotes blood circulation. You can bathe in the sunlight during the day and gaze at the stars at night, enjoying a unique soaking experience. 6. As a hotel located at the foot of Sanqing Mountain, Cuiwei cleverly integrates natural charm with cultural elegance. The exterior walls are made of rough stone masonry, retaining the warm texture of hand-carved craftsmanship. When the morning mist drifts, the entire building complex looks like the blank space in an ink painting. When the sunrise passes through the pine forest with a high concentration of negative oxygen ions, beams of light cast flowing patterns on the sandalwood window frames. Whether it’s rainy, cloudy, or sunny, the hotel itself is a scenic spot, each with different views and moods. 7. Sanqing Mountain is a World Natural Heritage site, with a unique granite peak forest landscape that is truly spectacular. If you have the chance, you must climb Sanqing Mountain at least once. Staying at Cuiwei not only makes climbing convenient but also guarantees quality. According to hotel staff, many guests come specifically to vacation at the hotel and stay in without going anywhere else. The hotel is indeed suitable for a few days of leisurely vacation.
