High-speed rail and buses can reach Yushan Station and Shangrao Station. We departed from Nanchang, and it took about 3.5 to 4 hours to reach the Jinsha parking lot, including the time to leave the city. How to play: Sanqing Mountain has 3 classic loops. In my previous video, there is a detailed explanation by a local guide. If you are interested, you can check it out. I recommend starting from the Jinsha Cableway (open: 7:30-17:30). Here, I want to remind you: after purchasing a ticket for the Jinsha Cableway, you will be given a number. There is a loudspeaker in the outer square of the cableway calling numbers, which avoids everyone standing in line. This is a more humane aspect of the attraction, so I want to remind you that even if you buy tickets online, you need to pick up the ticket and get a number. If you are traveling with a group, you can send someone to get the number early, so you can go as soon as you arrive without waiting. Starting from the Jinsha Cableway has the advantage of fewer uphill roads and more downhill and flat roads. The downside is that travel agencies also start from here, but the route with the most people is the small loop. The middle loop has half as many people, and the big loop rarely encounters a complete tour group. 1. Small loop route (1-2h): Jinsha Cableway → Python Coming Out of the Mountain → Penguin Offering Peach → Oriental Goddess → Goddess Plank Road → Jinsha Cableway 2. Middle loop route (4-5h): Jinsha Cableway → Python Coming Out of the Mountain → Penguin Offering Peach → Oriental Goddess → Rhododendron Valley → Jade Terrace → Jade Girl Smiling → One Line Sky → Sunrise Villa → Fairy Drying Shoes → Yuhuang Peak → Fox Gnawing Chicken → Python Viewing Platform → Jinsha Down 3. Big loop (about 7h): Outer Shuangxi Cableway up the mountain → Sunrise Platform → One Line Sky → Jade Terrace (if staying on the mountain, you can watch the sunrise) → Rhododendron Forest → Oriental Goddess → Penguin Offering Peach → Python Coming Out of the Mountain → Fox Gnawing Chicken → Yuhuang Peak → Sunshine Coast Scenic Area - Sanqing Palace → West Coast Scenic Area (sunset) → Outer Shuangxi Cableway down the mountain (if you don't circle Sanqing Palace, you can save 1h) You can walk these loops in reverse, the difference is more uphill or downhill. Remember, from Jade Girl Smiling to One Line Sky, One Line Sky is downhill. If from One Line Sky to Jade Girl Smiling, it's uphill. Accommodation: I chose a homestay next to the Jinsha Cableway, a 2-minute walk to the cableway, which is convenient for early mountain climbing. There are many restaurants on the street, very convenient. There are fewer choices for staying on the mountain, and the conditions are average. I haven't stayed there, so I won't recommend it. If you want to choose a star hotel, I recommend Hilton and Radisson, and a high-end homestay called Wang Sanqing. Young people can choose to camp on the mountain, and there are several campsites to choose from, all good spots for watching the sunrise. Mountain preparation: Hiking poles (I didn't use them, but many people bought them), light jacket (it's cool on the mountain with fog and wind), food and drink supplies (if you don't want to carry them, you can buy along the way, it's expensive but saves you from carrying, supply points are sufficient), raincoat or umbrella (there are often short showers on the mountain), wear sports shoes, the roads are steps or plank roads, no need for professional hiking or trekking shoes, recommend knee pads, downhill is hard on the knees. Experience: We chose the big loop, not fast, finished in 6 hours, but hit the downhill peak and waited an hour for the cable car, which was the most tiring part. The scenery on the mountain is worth the ticket price (even more if it's free), especially the Sunshine Coast plank road, flat and just in time for the sunset, like a real-life version of the Thousand Miles of Rivers and Mountains painting. The ancestors didn't lie! The mountain ecology is excellent, we saw squirrels and beautiful pheasants (later learned they are nationally protected yellow-bellied tragopans). The animals are not afraid of people, you can observe them closely. The mountain climate is cool, perfect for summer hiking, so Jiangxi folks, why not go for it?
