What else can you ask for on a trip? Good place to explore and visit. Wonderful accommodation right on the river of the Wujiang, one of the most important and historically river in China. If you ever need to get away from the city, give yourself 4 hours and head to Gongtan Ancient Town. The drive is long but worth it as you will go thru a lot of small towns with its own charms. Stop along the way and pick some fruits or get some snacks in the local markets that dots the highway. Once you arrive in Gongtan, make sure you get onto cruise and see the life along the river in ancient times. There are caves and hidden dwellings if you look into the mountain side. It is such a mystery how they’ve managed to live with the rise and fall of the river. Once night hits, go for a wonderful bbq or try the local cuisine. Everything is well budgeted and you might be able to get some souvenirs along the ancient streets built into the landscape. Head down to the river board walk and stroll along the shore, this is how memories are built.
