Sharing my stay at Suao Yambay Hotel

Enjoy both hot and cold springs in one visit. As a hot spring enthusiast, Suao Yambay Hotel is one of my frequent choices. 🛌 Room Highlights: Dual hot and cold spring pools + mountain or ocean views We’ve stayed in both types of rooms: Ocean View Room: The view is truly expansive. Open the curtains and you’re greeted by the vast blue sea and the harbor, giving off a seaside vacation vibe. Morning sunlight streaming in feels especially pleasant, and at night, the harbor lights create a cozy atmosphere. Mountain View Room: This option is quieter and more soothing, with lush greenery outside the window. Soaking in the hot spring while gazing at the distant mountains gives a sense of being surrounded by nature—super relaxing. Both room types feature dual hot and cold spring pools and are equipped with the same amenities. It really depends on whether you prefer the serene mountain vibe or the open ocean view. Each has its own charm, and both are excellent choices. The rooms are clean, spacious, and designed with a calm aesthetic. The beds are incredibly comfortable, making you want to stay in bed longer. They also provide complimentary drinks for you to enjoy after your soak. 🏊 Rooftop Infinity Pool: On clear days, you can see the mountains, sea, and harbor all at once. The view is breathtaking. Swimming or lounging by the pool at sunset is super chill. The pool has both heated and cold water sections, as well as a kids’ splash area, making it suitable for all ages. However, it’s not ideal for serious swimming since many people are busy taking Instagram-worthy photos. 😆 🍴 Buffet Breakfast: The variety is decent, offering Chinese-style porridge, freshly made omelets, salads, bread, Western hot dishes, and local Yilan specialties like pork rolls and fish ball soup. It’s quite thoughtful, and the dining area is spacious. 🍷 Welcome Drinks: Choose between red wine or hot kumquat tea. Sipping red wine upstairs after a soak feels so indulgent. 🚗 Transportation: Driving is the most convenient, but taking the train works too. We drove there ourselves, and the hotel has an underground parking lot with plenty of spaces, which is very convenient. If you’re not driving, the train is a good option since Suao Train Station is about a 10-minute walk from the hotel—pretty close and easy. Nearby attractions include Tofu Cape and Cold Spring Park, perfect for a leisurely stroll. Minor Downsides: While the hotel is clean, it does show signs of aging and lacks public hot spring baths. If you’re looking for a newer hotel with public baths, I’d recommend the Jiao Xi Mu Jiao Mountain Hotel (another personal favorite😍).
