Zhangxian Cave, a hidden hiking treasure in the mountains

Zhangxian Cave is located at the end of Shimenchong Canyon in Liujiacun, Aijia Town, Dianjun District, Yichang. Here is a detailed introduction: Historical legend It is said that during the Ming Dynasty, Taoist priest Zhang Sanfeng passed by here on his way to preach at Lingji Temple. Seeing the beautiful mountains and rivers and the towering cliffs, he decided to stay and cultivate his Taoist skills. After Zhang Sanfeng arrived at this cave, nearby friends from the Xuantian Temple on Zhihu Mountain came to discuss scriptures and Taoism with him, hence the name "Gathering of Immortals Building." Geographical environment Looking up at the cliffs from the foot of the mountain, there are many caves of different sizes. The three large seal characters "Tianxianlou" are written in the middle of the cliff. The cliffs can be divided into three layers, resembling a three-story building. The third layer is the most dangerous, and people with acrophobia can only sigh. Surrounding attractions • Zhihu Mountain: Located near Zhangxian Cave, it is a mountain shaped like a jade tablet, rising almost vertically into the sky. There are natural white marks on the rocks, outlining the scene of a minister wearing a high crown and a jade tablet, kneeling on a cushion. A Xuantian Temple and a Yuhuang Pavilion were built on the top of the mountain, dating back to the Tang Dynasty. • Tongtian Bridge: Built in the Ming Dynasty, it connects Chengxiangbei and Zhihu Mountain.
