Holy Mother of God Church, Nork-Marash

Holy Mother of God Church, Nork-Marash was destroyed by the disastrous earthquake of 1679 but then it was restored, in 1930s the church became, the victim of the religion-persecuting policy of USSR. even though the couch was ruined a lot of people from all over Armenia were still visiting it. After Armenia declared independence in 1991 residents of Nork district started the reconstruction of the church. In 1995 reconstruction was completed and since then the church is open for visitors. I especially love this church because our family house is located not far from the church and I was visiting it with my family quite often when I was a child.
