Admiring the Northern Lights, first time approaching the Arctic Circle in Yellowknife

Despite this, we still visited a few local attractions as a souvenir of this trip. The Flyers Monument commemorates the early Arctic pilots. The place is not big, but standing there you can overlook the winter scenery of Yellowknife, which is quite beautiful when the weather is good. Then I went to the visitor center to get an aurora certificate. Although I didn’t see the aurora, at least I had a souvenir. I feel like a visit to Yellowknife must be completed with one. Finally, we went to the old town for a stroll. It had more local characteristics than I had imagined. There were many aboriginal-style handicrafts in the souvenir shop, and I bought some to take back.
