Travel Diary 031: Check in at China's narrowest and most dopamine-rich county

Yanjin County, Yunnan. Hello, everyone. I am Xiaoqiu. Today I will share the most slender county in China, Yanjin. Yanjin County is located at the junction of Yunnan and Sichuan in northeastern Yunnan. It borders Yun County, Gong County, and Weixin in Sichuan in the northeast, Yongshen County, Xiyu Daguan, Yongshan, and Suijiang in the south, and Yushui Fu City in the north. Yanjin is known as the "narrowest county town" because of its extremely steep terrain. It is mainly built in a narrow river valley with cliffs on both sides and a river flowing in the middle. There is only one main road in the entire county town, and all the houses are built on both sides of the river and connected by bridges. The exterior walls of the houses in Yanjin are very unique and colorful, extremely eye-catching, and have been described as a "dopamine county" that came out of a cartoon. There is a saying in Yanjin that walking is faster than taking a car. 🌟🌟🌟Yanjin photo spots: ✅Halfway up the mountain in the Yanyan section of the highway: you can overlook the entire Yanjin Old Town and have a panoramic view of the entire town. Go up the mountain along Wenxing Street, towards the Yunlian and Yibin roads. When you reach halfway up the mountain, you can see several residential buildings with the most eye-catching and unique colors. From here you can overlook the entire county, and you and the taxi drivers know this location. ✅The high-rise buildings on the south side of Dongfeng Bridge: It is also the place to overlook the old city of Yanjin and take pictures of the first-tier county town and the narrowest county town. You can take pictures of the Dongfeng Bridge, Guanhe River, the streets on the west side of Guanhe River, and the mountains on both sides of the county. ✅Dongfeng Bridge: Spanning the Guanhe River, it is the main traffic road on both sides of the Guanhe River in the old city of Yanjin. On the north side of the bridge, you can admire the stilt houses built along the Guan River. It looks shocking. There were many local residents chatting on the bridge. The fusion of urban landscape and natural mountains can bring different visual effects. ✅Yanjin North Railway Station: An old-fashioned small station built halfway up the mountain. The sight of the green train passing through the first-tier county town is very interesting. ✅Near Dongtian Street at the east end of Dongfeng Bridge: The narrow street is lined with shops and is home to the local market.
