We had an amazing time at Kokuya ryokan in Shibu Onsen! - There are open air and covered private onsens in the ryokan, but they also give access to the public onsens in the village. - You can also get a room with its own open air onsen for ultimate indulgence! The experience of sitting in the onsen in the freezing cold air is something I will never forget. Oh, by the way, the included dinner was one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Seriously!
