Xingtai Museum

Xingtai Museum, located at No. 181 Kaiyuan North Road, Xiangdu District, Xingtai City, Hebei Province, started construction on December 31, 2014, and officially opened on May 5, 2023. With a total construction area of 78,000 square meters, it is a large-scale municipal comprehensive museum that emphasizes both history and art, integrating collection, exhibition, research, archaeology, public education, and cultural exchange. Xingtai Museum's overall architectural style is Tang-style with Yuan dynasty charm, featuring seven permanent exhibition areas: Jingdi Changfeng, Millennium Xing Kiln, Xing State Historical Sites, Song and Jin Dynasties Tombs, Jueshi Zhaohua, Century-Long Endeavors, and Xingxiang Memories. The museum houses 11,454 cultural relics (sets), including 1,355 precious artifacts (sets), mainly consisting of pottery, jade, porcelain, stone, gold, and bronze wares. The highlights of the collection include a Shang dynasty jade halberd with an animal head and inlaid patterns, a Shang dynasty bronze jue with an animal head and beast-face patterns inscribed with 'Ear as Father Gui', a Tang dynasty Xing Kiln white-glazed jar with 'Hanlin' inscription, and a bronze vase with inlaid gold four-spirit geometric patterns and a long neck.
