Anshan Shuige Pavilion, Xindian Village, Xinfeng, Jiangxi

Anshan Shuige Pavilion, also known as "Wenyuan Pavilion," was built during the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty. It features a brick and wood structure. The pavilion consists of an inner courtyard and a tower-like building, facing south. It has a gable roof and a square inner shape. The tower-shaped building has five stories, each with gray tiled overhanging eaves, and a spire at the top. It is 154 meters wide and 18.55 meters in height, covering a total area of 485.16 square meters. The ground floor of the pavilion was used as a community granary, the third floor was used as a private school, and the fourth and fifth floors served as observation points. During the New Democratic Revolution, it was a site for revolutionary activities and made significant contributions to the revolutionary cause. Anshan Shuige Pavilion is magnificent and is the only unique five-story pavilion in Xinfeng, making it valuable for studying the local history of waterside architecture. On March 9, 2018, it was announced as the sixth batch of Jiangxi Province cultural relics protection units.
