Shaoxing Xinchang | Above the cliffs and below the sea of clouds, encounter 'Letter from the Mountains'

In this season of gentle breezes and just-right sunshine, it's perfect for a greenery-filled trip. This journey led to the discovery of a treasure of a small town, Xinchang·Xiayanbei Village, Winding through a mountain road that's not too high, along the way you can see the emerald green tea gardens and the villages bathed in sunlight. This is a place where the heart can settle down. ▫️ The homestay we stayed at is 'Letter from the Mountains·In the Clouds', Built on the edge of a cliff, neighboring the mountains and the sea of clouds, it has its own tranquil silence. The rooms are in natural wood tones, with tatami mats for tea inside, balconies outside, and transparent glass by the bathtub, all offering views of the opposite mountains. Every spot is a great place to relax and daydream. Outside the room, there's a slide that goes directly down to the first floor, and outside there's a children's playground and an infinity pool. In the evening, the red sky is reflected in the pool, with the undulating Nineteen Peaks in the distance, making you feel as if you're in a painting. At night, while swimming, you can look up to see the starry sky and the planes flashing red lights as they come and go. Inside, there's also a café, a tea room, and a library. ▫️ Following the path down from the homestay, there's a viewing platform called the Eye of Yunlan, with the undulating azure mountains at your feet. Behind the platform is the Sanci Coffee Museum, where I ordered a cup of coffee named 'Sky', which looks very pretty and fits its name well. On the first floor, you can chat over coffee, and on the second floor, there's a library where you can read books, as well as coffee-related exhibitions. It's a very interesting place. I really enjoyed the two days in Xiayanbei Village, Xinchang. I saw many beautiful moments. If you don't know where to go for an autumn trip, then this place, this homestay, is worth a visit.
