People around me were either taking photos or gazing at the sky, passing the time. Even after boarding the ferry, the sunset continued. On the Xiamen Island side, city lights began to flicker on one by one, while Gulangyu grew darker. Although I had no particular expectations for the ferry ride, encountering such scenery on the way back made the end of the day even more memorable.
