At the foot of Mount Zhongnan in Xi'an lies the ancient Guanyin Temple, home to a thousand-year-old ginkgo tree. It's a popular destination during ginkgo season. The temple is quite far from the city center, so a taxi is recommended. If driving, simply navigate to "Guanyin Temple." Parking is available. There are fewer crowds around 10 a.m., but the ginkgo leaves appear greener at this time. It's not until around 11 p.m. that the sun finally reaches them, and they turn a brilliant golden yellow.
