InterContinental Xi'an High-Tech Zone, Poetic Mountain Forest in the CBD

What would an InterContinental in the High-Tech Zone look like? Upon arrival, my previous imagination was completely overturned. This is hardly a business hotel; it's clearly a luxurious private residence nestled among pines and water. 🎋 The design appears modern yet embodies Tang Dynasty influences throughout. The lobby unfolds like an Oriental garden, revealing new scenes with each step—passing through city gates, colonnades, flowing water, bamboo groves, and towering pines... Each window frames a unique view, pleasantly beautiful. Without leaving the city, you can capture the poetic essence of mountain forests. 🕰️ The color scheme and lighting in the guest rooms are exactly to my liking, with brown-toned quality furnishings and ambient lighting creating an elegant subdued atmosphere. The welcome card is a three-dimensional paper sculpture of the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, a creative touch that jumps off the page. DeLonghi kettles, hand-woven leather wall backgrounds, double-basin sinks... the sophisticated taste is evident in every detail. The leather sofa by the floor-to-ceiling windows has a natural relaxed feel; lying down and casually opening a book about ancient Xi'an, you could sit quietly for hours. 🥢 For dinner, I visited Cai Feng Lou, where the windows are embraced by serene bamboo greenery—when the wind moves, the heart remains still. Although it specializes in Cantonese cuisine, the meal concluded with a bowl of sour soup Hele noodles. In Xi'an, I discover a new noodle dish every day. 😯 Some unexpected surprises: 1️⃣ A gym occupying an entire floor, with a dedicated professional spinning area. I tried a class—sweating profusely was incredibly refreshing! 2️⃣ Breakfast includes freshly made Rou Jia Mo (Chinese hamburgers), various Xi'an snacks, and nine different local noodle specialties, but I was drawn to the several large self-serve candy jars 3️⃣ In the executive lounge, I spotted mini "single-person booths" that would absolutely delight introverts 4️⃣ The lobby features a very spacious, luxurious, and separately partitioned IHG Rewards reception area, showcasing the responsive and attentive InterContinental signature concierge service 5️⃣ The lobby bar uses Pete's coffee beans 6️⃣ In the evening, there's a resident band that distributes song request lists to each guest, creating a complete social experience Having just celebrated its first anniversary, the hotel already delivers such thorough and thoughtful service—it can only get better from here.
