Giant Wild Goose Pagoda Scenic Area Travel Guide: Preparation • Ticket booking: Tickets for Da Ci'en Temple are CNY 40, and tickets for the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda are CNY 25. You can purchase tickets in advance on the official website or travel platforms. • Opening hours: Peak season (March 16 to November 14) 8:00 am–5:30 pm, off-peak season (November 15 to March 15) 8:00 am–5:00 pm. • Items to bring: Prepare comfortable shoes, sunscreen, water, etc. Transportation • Subway: Take Line 3 or 4 to Dayanta Station, and exit from Exit B or C. • Bus: Take Tourist Bus 4 or 6, or Bus 610, 320, or one of the other 25 bus routes. Travel route • Morning: Start from the North Square of the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda, visit the largest square in Asia, and admire the statues of historical figures. Then enter Da Ci'en Temple and visit the ancient buildings and attractions in order, including the Mountain Gate, Bell and Drum Tower, Tusita Palace, Mahavira Hall, and Xuanzang Sanzang Courtyard. • Noon: After leaving Da Ci'en Temple, go to Ci'en Town or Joy City to taste authentic Shaanxi snacks such as roujiamo, liangpi, and lamb paomo. • Afternoon: Climb the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda and visit precious cultural relics such as the inscriptions on the pagoda, the statue of Sakyamuni, palm-leaf manuscripts, and the pagoda of relics. Then go to the South Square of the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda and take a photo with the statue of Xuanzang. • Evening: Watch the musical fountain show at the North Square of the Giant Wild Goose Pagoda. The show is usually at 12:00 pm, 4:00 pm, 7:00 pm, and 9:00 pm, and each show lasts 10 minutes. After watching the fountain, go to the Great Tang All Day Mall to enjoy the light show and various performances.
