Jichang Garden, a classical garden in Wuxi

Jichang Garden was built in the 15th year of the Zhengde period of the Ming dynasty (1520) by Qin Jin, a descendant of the Northern Song dynasty poet Qin Guan. It was originally called "Fenggu Xingwo." The garden has been renovated and expanded many times, and was visited by the Kangxi and Qianlong emperors seven times. It is a famous classical garden in Jiangnan. . ⭐Itinerary Jichang Garden, a national key cultural relic protection unit, is located in the cultural relic area of Huishan Ancient Town Scenic Area, on the east side of Huishan Mountain, next to Huishan Temple. After eating and shopping in Huishan Ancient Town, head to the depths of the ancient town. Be sure to check out Jichang Garden and the surrounding Huishan relics. A large wintersweet tree near the side gate of the Erquan Academy is about to bloom, so it's the perfect time to admire the flowers. 🔥Highlights of Jichang Garden 1⃣️The garden is centered around a mountain pool, and mainly consists of 28 scenic spots and 244 stone inscriptions, including the gate hall, calligraphy corridor, Bingli Hall, courtyard, stele wall, and Hanzhen Studio. 2⃣️The garden makes use of the surrounding scenery, incorporating the Longguang Pagoda on Xishan Mountain, Huishan Mountain, and other natural landscapes into the garden, blending them with the garden's scenery. The view from the stone bridge by the lake, with the Longguang Pagoda blending into the mountain and garden, is particularly beautiful. 3⃣️The garden has the "Jieru Peak" rock, the Zhiyu Rail, the Qixing Bridge, the Bayin Stream, the Jiushi Terrace, the Hebu Beach, and 20 other scenic spots. The "Jichang Garden Calligraphy Collection" is a collection of calligraphy by more than 100 masters, and the "Fifty Views of Jichang Garden" by Song Maojin of the Ming dynasty showcases the rich culture of the ancient garden. 4⃣️Jieru Peak The rock is 4.6 meters high and stands to the east of the Mirror Pool in the southeast of the garden, as if looking at its reflection. In 1757, when the Qianlong Emperor visited Jichang Garden, he renamed it "Jieru Peak." Based on the shape of this Taihu stone, it could be renamed "Golden Snake Welcomes Spring" this year. 5⃣️Bayin Stream This is my favorite part of the garden, full of wonder and fun. The Bayin Stream is 36 meters long, 2 meters deep, and 0.6 to 4.5 meters wide, and is made entirely of yellow stone. The stream is fed by the Huishan Spring, and the sound of the water is as pleasant as music. Through the clever use of hidden and borrowed scenery, a path opens up at the end of the stream, and the Longguang Pagoda on Xishan Mountain can be seen in the distance. 6⃣️The main buildings in the garden, such as Jiashu Hall and Hanzhen Studio, are currently being decorated with flowers for the Spring Festival, waiting for visitors.
