Off-season visit to Mount Wutai: breathtaking sunset and 1080 steps worth every tear.

Visiting Mount Wutai during the off-season is simply amazing✨ Fewer crowds and clearer views, even the breeze carries a sense of Zen. Spent the afternoon exploring a few ancient temples, with red walls and gray tiles contrasting against the blue sky—no need to avoid people when taking photos! The most challenging part was climbing the 1080 steps to Dai Luo Ding. My heart rate shot up to 158, and my legs felt like giving up 😂 But the moment I reached the top, I was healed—the evening sunset blanketed the valley, golden light shimmering on the temple roofs, and even the air felt gentle. The Wuye Temple was the only slightly busy spot, but it didn’t detract from the immersive experience! Traveling during the off-season is truly unbeatable. No crowded tourist spots, just leisurely strolling, peaceful photography, and even the wind seems to favor you. Come to Mount Wutai to breathe fresh air and cleanse your soul—this hike was absolutely worth it! 🙏
