Most of the cherry blossoms in Wuhan were introduced after the normalization of diplomatic relations between China and Japan. They are mainly concentrated on both sides of the cherry blossom avenue between Kunpeng Square and Renwen Road. During the cherry blossom season, the avenue is packed with people, and the cherry blossoms are so dense that they block out the sky. If you don't have a drone, you can climb to the roof of the old dormitory building to enjoy the panoramic view of cherry blossoms at Wuhan University. Visitors need to book tickets in advance to enter the campus during the cherry blossom season. However, the booking and visiting policies vary slightly each year, and not everyone who wants to visit the campus to view cherry blossoms can get their wish. You can also visit Qingliangzhai in Huangpi and Dong Lake Cherry Blossom Garden. The cherry blossoms in Wuhan University, Qingliangzhai, Dong Lake Cherry Blossom Garden, Dijiao Park, and Jinli Ditch start to bloom in mid-March, reach full bloom in late March, and fall in early April. The cherry blossoms in Qingliangzhai in Huangpi bloom about a week later.
