Wellington from the Top: A Mount Victoria Must-See

During my visit to Wellington, my Thai friend from Christchurch and I decided to explore the city together. One of the highlights was hiking up to the Mount Victoria Lookout. We started our walk from Courtenay Place, heading up Majoribanks Street and into the pine forest trails. The hike was a bit steep but manageable, taking around 45 minutes.🚶♀️ Once we reached the summit, we were greeted with breathtaking 360-degree views of Wellington city, the harbor, and the surrounding hills. We took our time soaking in the view and snapping photos—it was the perfect mix of city and nature. If you’re not up for the walk, don’t worry! There’s a car park at the top, and the Number 20 bus can also take you up via Alexandra Road. Whether you're hiking or driving, Mount Victoria Lookout is a must-visit for stunning views and fresh air right in the heart of Wellington.
