Review of Hyatt Regency Shenzhou Peninsula: Highlights and drawbacks I recently stayed at the Hyatt Regency Shenzhou Peninsula in Wanning. Online reviews of the hotel are mixed, but my experience was that it wasn't perfect, but the breakfast was so good that I would definitely go back. Here is my personal experience. Drawbacks 1. Mini bar: The mini bar is a bit limited, and the mini bar in the suite is only available on the first day and is not replenished afterwards. I hope the hotel can improve on this and provide more convenience for guests. 2. Welcome gift: There was a small gap in the check-in experience. For the first two days, I stayed in an ocean view courtyard suite and did not receive any welcome fruit or gifts. But when I switched to a family suite, I received a small plate of fruit. This difference was a bit confusing, and I hope the hotel can standardize the welcome gift. 3. Beach experience: There is a road between the hotel and the beach, which makes it less private and there are more tourists on the beach. There are no hotel-exclusive loungers on the beach, so it is not very comfortable to relax on the beach. 4. Dining: Breakfast is a bit crowded, and you may have to wait in line on weekends. The Regency Club is crowded on weekends, and the food is relatively small, with some dishes being quickly taken away and not replenished in time. Highlights 1. Delicious breakfast: The breakfast is really good. Among the hotel breakfasts I have tried, Hyatt Regency is definitely one of the best, along with Ritz-Carlton and Capella. Although it is not as delicate as the other two, it is delicious, with a wide variety of freshly made dishes and many local specialties. 2. Quality service: The overall service quality is high, especially the staff at the Regency Club, who are friendly and enthusiastic. I was not satisfied with the room type at first, and the manager personally accompanied me to choose and change rooms, which was very considerate. 3. Convenient shuttle: The hotel shuttle bus is very responsive, and the car is often already there when you walk to the door after calling. When the driver meets a guest on the road, they will take the initiative to ask if they need a ride, which is very thoughtful. 4. Reasonable layout: The room design is excellent, with reasonable division of each area and no interference with each other. The suite is equipped with two bathrooms, which is very practical for families with children. Parents can wash, relax, and entertain themselves after the children fall asleep. 5. Private and quiet: The hotel rooms are laid out in small detached or row houses, which are private and quiet at night, allowing for a good night's sleep. Other aspects 1. Regency Club experience: In my opinion, if you don't need a suite, choosing a suite just for the Regency Club is not cost-effective. The afternoon tea pastries are average, and there are few types of juice. Dinner includes four hot dishes, four cold dishes, one freshly made noodle/rice/dumpling, and several pastries, but because there are many people, the food is easily taken away and replenished slowly. 2. Family experience: The family service is up to standard, with basic equipment such as bed rails, children's toiletries, and children's slippers. However, there is room for improvement in details, such as children's toilet pads, footstools, and children's bathrobes. The Camp Hyatt is not large, smaller than the one in Haitang Bay, but the opening hours are extended to 8 pm, which is convenient. However, the family activities are a bit simple. 3. Dining: The hotel's dining is excellent overall, with a wide range of children's meals in the Chinese restaurant, which are cost-effective, and most restaurants offer group packages. The Western restaurant is also worth a try, but because the children are young, we mostly chose to eat in the Chinese restaurant. 🧹Soundproofing/hygiene: The soundproofing is good, quiet at night, and the hygiene is good, with the room being clean and tidy. 🏘️Room type/layout: The layout is in small detached or row houses, which are private. The interior of the room is reasonably divided, and the suite has two bathrooms, which is convenient for families with children. 🛌Supplies/facilities: Basic supplies and facilities are complete, but the mini bar is not replenished, and there are missing family details. 💗Other tips: 1. If you have high requirements for beach privacy and exclusive loungers, you may need to consider in advance. 2. There are many people for breakfast and dining at the Regency Club on weekends, so try to avoid peak times. 3. Families with children can communicate with the hotel in advance to confirm the need for family supplies.
