Wan Chai Gap Park

This is quite a hidden park in between Coombe Road and Mount Cameron Road. It’s so quiet and we have the playground to ourselves most of the time. I was quite surprised to see a food stall selling snacks, hot food and cold beverage. Apparently this park is a refreshment stop for hikers taking the “Wan Chai Gap Road to Aberdeen Country Park” trail. The park is remote and quite on weekday, too quiet that we met a mommy wild boar and her piglets searching for food from the trash cans. Kids were so excited to see the adorable piglets but I have to warn them about getting too close to the wild animals. It’s a proper park, with tables, chairs and benches, the garden is being taken care of and it’s rather clean and peaceful environment. The playground is right next to food stall, with benches around it. A classic playground with swings, tunnels, slides, simple climbing bars and the fireman’s pole. The only special is a short zipline. It’s far too simple, perhaps great fun for kids age 1-5. Definitely not worth it if you have to travel far for it. Shade: No Enclosed: Not exactly but there’s only 2 entrance in and out of the playground area Toilet: Public toilet behind the food stall Refreshment: Food stall next to playground Mom : ⭐️ Kids: ❤️ ❤️ There’s another playground just across the road, the Coombe Road Children’s Playground, to be shared soon.
