Don't go to Hong Kong for a family trip and just do a city walk

I'm not clickbaiting you. Unless your baby likes shopping and walking, you'll only know how hard it is to do a city walk with a three-year-old after you've done it. They don't care about skyscrapers or million-dollar night views. All they care about is how delicious the ice cream is and whether they can go to the Science Museum every day! Day 1️⃣ Birthday at the Disneyland Hotel🎂 Day 2️⃣ Disneyland Day Trip🎠 Day 3️⃣ Ocean Park Day Trip🐳 Day 4️⃣ Stanley and Repulse Bay Day Trip⏳ Day 5️⃣ Central Hong Kong Island City Walk Day 6️⃣ Central Hong Kong Island City Walk This article mainly focuses on the last two days of the city walk, which were also the two days when the baby was least happy 😕 🏨Kerry Hotel Hong Kong We stayed at the Hung Hom Kerry Hotel, a deluxe sea view room with a king-size bed that was more than 40 square meters, which is really big for a hotel in Hong Kong. The sea view is great, and you can take pictures of Central, but the smog was very serious. We ordered room service for breakfast, which was more than HKD 200 for a set meal, which was cheaper than the buffet. Remember to say that you want to take pictures when you book, so the presentation will look better. The hotel has an infinity pool that is great for taking pictures, and you can already swim in the water in April. ⚓️Fortune Ferry It's definitely not as good as the Star Ferry for taking pictures! But we stayed in Hung Hom, and the pier is right outside the hotel. It takes 8 minutes from Hung Hom to Central, and there are not many sailings, only one every 40 minutes (you can ask me for specific flight information if you need it). On the way back, we took the Star Ferry from Central to Tsim Sha Tsui. The boat is big, retro, and good for taking pictures, but there were too many people because it was the weekend, so we couldn't take pictures. 🎡Central Ferris Wheel🍦Mobile Softee We arrived at the Central Ferris Wheel at 10am, only to find out that the Ferris wheel doesn't open until 11am. See picture 6 for details. We ate Mobile Softee and gave up on the Ferris wheel. Mobile Softee accepts Alipay, WeChat Pay, Octopus card, and cash. After coming down from the Peak, we tried to go to the Ferris wheel again, but after waiting in line for an hour, we gave up again. 🚠The Peak The Octopus card is much faster on the Peak Tram, as the Octopus card is in the ticket holder channel, which can reduce the queue a lot. The slope of the tram is quite steep when it is running, and it is difficult to stand still. I barely took a picture. The view is better from the three rows of seats on the right when going uphill. There is a free viewing platform and a paid Sky Terrace on the Peak. It is recommended to check the weather before choosing. The scenery was not ideal due to the smog when we went, so we didn't go to the paid viewing platform. The baby also didn't want to see the scenery and just wanted to sleep. We took minibus No. 1 directly to Central when we went downhill, which saved time compared to bus No. 15. 🔬Science Museum The Hong Kong Science Museum, which is free for children and HKD 20 for adults, is really great. It is closed on Thursdays, so don't run for nothing. We played there for an afternoon. There is an energy shuttle, a science experiment show, and a power generation device for you to explore on your own. The children's area on the 3rd floor is very popular, with a little engineer experience. The Science Museum was the baby's happiest place in the last two days.
