[Cuba] Vinales Valley, the home of tobacco, a World Heritage Site

🌞Vinales Valley is an agricultural town about two hours' drive from Havana. It has become a world-renowned tobacco producing area due to its unique valley terrain, castel landforms and fertile nitrogen-containing red soil. The United Nations listed it as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1999. 🚬Visiting tobacco fields and smoking cigars are definitely a must-do itinerary. On the way, we stopped to see how farmers harvested tobacco, dried it and preserved it. After harvesting, it needs to be placed in a specially shaped barn to dry for another month, turning into the familiar dark green dead leaves🍂. 90% of these tobaccos are purchased by the Cuban government, and farmers can keep 10% for themselves.
