If there’s only one place you must go in Porto, this is it

#europetravel If you asked me what Porto is about, I’d say the view of “bridge Ponte Luis I over Douro River”. Because it truly is the most scenic trademark view of Porto ever. In fact, the viewpoints are completely filled with tourists even in Jan which is one of the lower tourist seasons; that gives you an idea how central of a role this view plays in Porto tourism. And of all viewpoints, I personally find Miradouro da Serra do Pilar the best. Best angles of the houses on the hill, the bridge, and the sunset. You have two choices to reach this point: the road above the bridge, and that underneath the bridge. I recommend you to come up from the latter, then go back via the former. That should give you more variety of views.
