Swipe left to see Iceland through the lens of a female photographer!

For two consecutive years, I've dedicated my precious annual leave to Scandinavia. Many people don't understand why I keep traveling to such cold places. To most, a Nordic vacation doesn't seem like relaxation but more like an endurance test - feeling stranded on a desolate island. But for me, it's an exhilarating adventure. While I still have the courage, I want to boldly explore the unknown! Icelandic Cuisine: A Flavorful Adventure In Iceland, food becomes an unexpected delight during travels. At local restaurants, I tried the famous fermented shark meat. When first served, its pungent aroma hits your nostrils hard - truly "intoxicating." Gathering courage for a bite, the dense texture and uniquely fascinating taste grew more complex with each chew, offering a genuine taste of Iceland's distinctive culinary culture. Then there's Icelandic lobster soup, made from freshly caught lobsters - the rich broth and springy, tender meat make every spoonful incredibly satisfying! Accommodation: Nordic Romance For lodging, I stayed at a charming guesthouse in Reykjavik. This cozy wooden cottage was decorated with Nordic flair - wooden furniture bathed in warm lighting created the perfect ambiance. Waking up to open the curtains revealed distant snow-capped mountains against azure skies, like stepping into a fairy tale. Nights were spent sinking into soft beds, lulled to sleep by the wind and moonlight - pure bliss. Iceland Through the Lens: Colorful and Enchanting During two trips to Iceland, I captured countless photos. My first visit had glorious sunshine, while the second brought over a week of rain. Iceland's weather is unpredictable - Photo 1 was taken during a brief break between storms. At Seal Beach, heavy rain and thick fog reduced visibility to nearly zero, forcing us to leave disappointed. But when we reached the iconic red house, our luck turned - we were treated to a healing sunset. No matter how bad the weather, there's always a chance for great shots. Vik's red houses and Reykjavik's church became my must-visit spots. Black sand beach sunsets are breathtaking yet elusive - each wait filled with anticipation. Christmas streets transform into fairy tale worlds, their magic undiminished even by sudden storms. Iceland might not offer a relaxing vacation, but every moment here becomes a treasured memory. I hope to return someday to find my own "25th frame" - capturing Iceland's essence through my camera lens!
