Albergo Doni Hotel in Venice|Interesting little discovery🇮🇹✨ In mid-May, I came to beautiful Venice and chose to stay at Albergo Doni Hotel. The hotel is in the quiet Fondamenta del Vin Castello, just a 2-minute walk from St. Mark's Square. That’s why most of the main attractions such as the Doge’s Palace and St. Mark’s Basilica are nearby, perfect for those who want to explore Venice in depth. Firstly, the location is definitely a big plus for Albergo Doni. The neighborhood where the hotel is located is relatively quiet, avoiding the hustle and bustle of tourists. The transportation is also very convenient. The vaporetto station is nearby, which is very convenient for going to the Rialto Bridge or the Grand Canal. The hotel is an ancient building with a strong Venetian style, which I quite like. When checking in, the receptionist gave a very warm welcome and helped with various questions, making you feel at home. Regarding the room experience, I found it quiet and comfortable. The room is a bit dated but warmly decorated and kept clean. Our room is quite spacious, the bed is especially comfortable, the water pressure of the shower head is also sufficient, taking a hot shower is really a very refreshing experience. Friends who like Venetian style will also appreciate the beautiful Venetian glassware in the room. Due to the hotel's prime location, there are many restaurants and bars around it. We often have delicious snacks at Tango Bar Venezia or go to Gelateria Ca' D'oro to enjoy a delicious gelato. For dinner we went to Al Grill and the BBQ there was absolutely amazing. In terms of entertainment, I highly recommend going to Row Venice to experience the traditional rowing in Venice, it's super fun! Of course, such perfection is bound to have some minor flaws. The hotel does not have an elevator, so be prepared to climb stairs. But once you get used to it, it becomes one of those experiences that has a strong sense of age. The breakfast is simple but fresh, but the variety is a little limited. Oh and the towels were a bit thin but they were usable. Overall, Albergo Doni is part of my fond memories of this trip to Venice. The trip was definitely worth it and staying in this old, yet warm little hotel made it extra special. This may be the charm of Venice, simple yet full of stories. ❤️
