The Varied Architecture of Valletta

The city of Valletta has been called ‘the City of Baroque’ and rightly so there are many amazing baroque style buildings to be found. This style of architecture was popular in Malta since the early 1700s, however many other different architectural styles can also be observed such as the earlier Mannerist architecture, you can also still find architectural elements including Arabic or Middle Eastern motifs and of course since the early decades of the 19th century neoclassical architecture became more prominent. #celebrateit #malta #mediterranean #valletta
