Located about 3 kilometers from the town of Uyuni, a 40-minute walk away, the Train Cemetery is a unique attraction. While it is often included in tours to the Uyuni Salt Flats, this means the area can be crowded with tourists in the morning. The best time to visit is in the afternoon. With fewer people around, you can take stunning, photogenic pictures here. In fact, portraits taken at this location are particularly striking. The site is much larger than you might expect, and if you’re serious about exploring, you can easily spend up to three hours having fun here! If walking isn’t your preference, you can also charter a taxi to reach the cemetery. One thing to watch out for is stray dogs. Occasionally, stray dogs may be present, so be cautious when visiting.
