The best hotel in Urumqi, without a doubt

This Conrad is located in the Shayibake District, above the Meimei Department Store. It was formerly a Sheraton that has been newly renovated and reopened. The owner remains the same, and the building is still the same. When booking the hotel, I noticed that it was the only hotel in Urumqi with a base room rate exceeding a thousand yuan, which I thought must have its reasons. After staying for two nights, here are the facts: 1️⃣ The hotel's location is excellent. Whether you're visiting the Xinjiang Museum or dining at Hetian Second Street, it's just a starting fare taxi ride away; 2️⃣ The interior decoration style cleverly integrates with ethnic characteristics. The combination of the lobby's floor tiles with stone and wood finishes reflects the local cultural features through color and stitching, which I personally like very much; 3️⃣ The lounge is very quiet, and the service is attentive, making it suitable for having a cup of coffee and sitting for a while. On good weather days, you can see the Tianshan Mountains. From the lounge to the concierge to the lobby bar, the service throughout the hotel is excellent. In fact, everyone we met in Urumqi was very nice and friendly; 4️⃣ The only downside is that the basic room type may be somewhat cramped due to the original building layout. Ensuring space for the cloakroom and bathroom means compromising the living and sleeping areas. However, I must say that the tables and chairs in the living area are perfect for eating takeout, and the takeout from nearby the hotel is delicious. In conclusion, I will stay here again next time 🥰
