Countdown to Buckingham Palace's Limited Opening

Buckingham Palace is open to the public only during the summer, and this year it closes on September 29th! If you haven't visited yet, now's the time to go! There are two main types of tickets: the State Rooms ticket and the Day Tour ticket (which includes the State Rooms, Royal Mews, and the Queen's Gallery). The State Rooms ticket allows you to explore the opulent State Rooms of Buckingham Palace, featuring over a dozen magnificent rooms, each with its unique decor. Although the garden is also accessible, the main attraction is the State Rooms. I particularly loved the gilded piano in the White Drawing Room. The grand painting of Queen Victoria's coronation is also a must-see! The State Rooms tour takes about two hours, while the Day Tour lasts about half a day. I opted for the Day Tour, which included the Queen's Gallery and Royal Mews. The tour follows a set order: first the Queen's Gallery, then the Royal Mews, and finally the State Rooms. The Queen's Gallery showcases photographs of royal family members, including a striking black-and-white photo of the Queen Mother in the garden. The Royal Mews displays the royal carriages, including the famous Gold State Coach used during coronations. The Gold State Coach is seven meters long and adorned with gilded figures and Roman god paintings. Although it looks like a fairy tale carriage, it's reportedly uncomfortable to ride in. The Royal Mews offers free guided tours on the hour, which are highly recommended. The State Rooms ticket costs £32 per person, while the Day Tour ticket is £61.2 per person. Note that photography is prohibited in the State Rooms and Queen's Gallery, but allowed in the garden and Royal Mews. The Royal Mews also offers interactive experiences, such as sitting in a simple carriage for photos. Overall, Buckingham Palace is worth visiting for a tangible insight into the British royal family. Don't miss out, as you'll have to wait another year if you do! I'm Sunny from London, and exploring with me will show you a different side of London! #LondonGuide #BuckinghamPalace #LondonTravel
