A soba noodle shop designated as a tangible cultural property

📍Soba Restaurant Shimohagatei Renovated from the former Shimohagatei, this popular restaurant has a great atmosphere. When I went in just after 11am on a Sunday, there were still seats available, but it soon filled up. It took a while for the food to be served, but it was a lovely restaurant, with fresh flowers on the meal trays. The gallery on the second floor was also worth seeing. The building was built in the mid-Meiji period and is a registered tangible cultural property, so the building itself is worth seeing, and you can freely tour the second floor. The soba itself is delicious, but the portions are also generous, and the thoughtful touch of a flower being garnished with each bowl makes this a lovely restaurant. #FreeHotelStay
