Akoya Bar in Tsim Sha Tsui: A Japanese Izakaya Birthday Experience

Located in the bustling area of Tsim Sha Tsui, Akoya Bar is styled after a Japanese izakaya, offering a variety of distinctive Japanese dishes and drinks. We ordered two types of Mojito ole{emoji}{🍻}, one with alcohol and one without. I tried the non-alcoholic version, which was just as refreshing as a regular Mojito. The crisp lime flavor ole{emoji}{🍋} paired well with the izakaya dishes, making it a great choice for friends who don't drink ole{emoji}{😉}. There were many dishes on the menu that caught our interest, but unfortunately, our eyes were bigger than our stomachs, so we could only choose a few signature dishes that particularly intrigued us. We ended up ordering the signature mentaiko omelette ole{emoji}{🍳}, a must-have minced chicken skewer in any izakaya, chicken soup carbonara udon ole{emoji}{🍜}, and some skewers like beef tongue ole{emoji}{🥩} and pork wrapped asparagus. The mentaiko omelette was fluffy and tender, with the salty taste of mentaiko perfectly blending with the sweetness of the egg, making each bite irresistible ole{emoji}{🥰}. The chicken soup carbonara udon was rich in flavor but not too heavy. The skewers were cooked to perfection, with tender meat complemented by unique sauces for a richer taste ole{emoji}{😋}. To celebrate my birthday, my friend also specially ordered an egg pudding ole{emoji}{🍮}. The restaurant wrote a birthday message on the plate, lit a candle ole{emoji}{🎂}, and proactively took photos for me and my friends ole{emoji}{📸}.
