Walking along Bang Phra Canal | Trat

The Khlong Bang Phra community, a name that is not very familiar, but this community received the award for outstanding tourism community in 2007, which foreign tourists called the Chiang Khan of the East. In the past, the Khlong Bang Phra community was a place where many groups of people met and traded goods. It was the main transportation route for islanders to sail to the mouth of the river to deliver coconuts to Ban Bang Phra. At the same time, Chinese merchants would sail junks to bring goods such as clothes, silk, and ceramics to sell. Today, along the Khlong Bang Phra canal, there are still hundreds of old wooden shophouses that used to be shops and some old shops that are worth visiting to learn about the past of Trat.
