The legend of Dracula

#myhiddengems Popular associated with stories of vampires and warevolves. This historical region is a medival gem with lots to offer beyond folklore. The appearance of it can make it look like It does actually look like a place from those vampire stories with brightly colored houses, magnificent palaces, and dramatic layers of mountains, hills, and forests in the distance. Personally, i've become a fan of several eastern European destinations owing to their affordability and less tourists compared to traditional destinations in Europe. It rewards you with charming villages, lush forests, and historic castles and landmarks. If you chose to travel during office season, things become even more affordable. As was the unplanned case with me during February. But i came prepared for winter. In general I found travel and transport to be quite cheap in Romania and effective. Romanians are incredibly nice and friendly. I could never speak to them but I did my best and the locals were always helpful. During the 10 days of stay I was lucky to befriend some fellow backpackers and together we touched some wonderful places in Transylvania. Some very memorable spots like alba lulia, Sibiu, brasov, sinia and vras castle.
