Usaka Shrine is nestled at the foot of lush mountains, where the vermilion torii gate glimmers faintly in the humid air. Inside the shrine, the cypress wood flooring bears smooth indentations from the sandals of worshippers over time. Seasonal mountain vegetables, still glistening with morning dew, are offered before the altar, their earthy aroma mingling with the scent of sandalwood incense. The ema rack is adorned with faded wooden prayer plaques, their weathered edges catching strands of hair from devotees, trembling slightly in the cross breeze.
