I arrived at Shena'o Ancient Town in Tonglu at noon

The car was parked at the entrance of the ancient town. Entering through this archway, there is a lake, and the houses along the lake have quite the style of an ancient town. Had lunch at a restaurant by the lake, the view was nice. After the meal, I took a stroll around the town, looking at the old houses. Some of these old houses are well preserved, with some turned into guesthouses and restaurants, and others into shops and studios to carry on traditional culture. The overall feeling is quite natural and simple. Dai's Mansion here is the ancestral home of Dai Li. This place is also a settlement of the Shentu clan. Ancient towns in the south of the Yangtze River all have some similarities.
